Editorial Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

The rules we use to keep Adult.ca useful, commercial and trustworthy at the same time.

Useful before long

We publish for people who are trying to make a decision. A page should answer the question, give enough practical detail to act, and avoid padding that exists only to make the page longer.

Verification

For gambling content, we check operator information, terms and relevant official or regulatory sources where a factual claim needs support. For local business listings, we favour official business websites, direct business information and reliable public records over copied directory text.

When a detail changes quickly — such as a bonus, opening hours, event schedule or payment method — readers should confirm it with the operator or business before travelling, paying or registering.

Listings

Adult.ca does not need every business in Canada to be useful. We would rather publish a smaller directory with current, practical details than mass-produce thin listings. A listing should have a clear reason to exist and enough verified information to help a visitor.

Commercial relationships

Some gambling links are affiliate links. Local businesses may eventually pay for clearly labelled featured placement or enhanced profiles. Payment does not buy a positive editorial review, a higher casino score or permission to publish claims we cannot support.

Corrections

If a factual detail is wrong, email support@adult.ca with the page URL and supporting information. We will review material corrections and update the page when the correction can be verified.

What we avoid

  • Copied or spun business descriptions
  • Automatically generated city pages with no useful inventory
  • Fake user reviews or fabricated first-hand experience
  • Guaranteed gambling outcomes or withdrawal promises
  • Hiding paid placement as independent editorial choice
